Why it matters

From pre-established trust to verifiable trust.

Traditional API security remains valuable, but does not automatically scale to ecosystems where new parties, services and rights come together dynamically. Verifiable Credentials add portable evidence without centralising every decision.

What a credential can express

Not every verifiable claim is an identity.

A trustworthy model makes explicit which type of claim is made, by which recognised issuer and within which governance context.
